One-segment TV-Tuner for iPhone 3G

In a conference earlier today, Softbank announced that it’ll be releasing a one segment TV-tuner for the Japanese iPhone 3g market. The One-segment tuner has an antenna to tune into TV signals and send them back to the iPhone using WiFi radio. Then, all you would have to do is download a free app that allowed your phone to tune into the TV-tuner’s WiFi. This no-name TV-tuner will also serve as a second external battery, once you plug it up to your phone. When your phone is docked it can be receiving the WiFi signals with the tuner and still recharge. This tuner is expected to start selling at 10,000 yen ($100) in mid-December.
