Sprint Revives Nextel
October 31st, 2008 | by Jessica.G | Sprint has decided to rekindle it’s Nextel iDEN network. In conjunction with this, Sprint will be launching 8 new iDEN phones during 2009. Also, they will add more cell phone towers to boost the network.  CEO of Sprint, Dan Hesse says, “The iDEN network is a key differentiator for Sprint, as it allows us to offer products and services no other carrier in the industry can match.”
Boost Mobile will also be going through some changes. In early 2009, Sprint will offer Boost Unlimited on the iDEN network, which will include a nationwide home calling area for one monthly fee. Boost Mobile is getting aggressive in competition, catering more attractive pricing to customers in this current economic environment. With this being said looks like Sprints’ plans to sell Nextel Network are out the door.
