Apps slowing your iPhone down?
October 31st, 2008 | by Jessica.G |iPhone-rs everywhere must have their share of applications out of the thousands of apps in the Apple store. These apps though might be the reason why your contacts list is slagging or why your phone is freezing. It seems obvious enough that the more pack into your phone the higher risk you run of your phone slowing down.
If you were to compare an iPhone that has no additional applications loaded, with an iphone with more than 2 pages worth of applications, chances are the iphone with no apps added, will be faster. So what is the point of having so many apps if it is just going to slow down your phone? Most people say that it’s better to make sure the firmware is updated. Your phone is bound to lag a little if you have three pages worth of apps and on top of that 13 gigs of music and a couple of movies too. Another thing that can slow down your phone is if you are using 3rd party applications. Certain applications will make your iPhone a little sluggish, so watch out and make sure you see how your phone performs after you have downloaded each app. In the end, it seems removing apps you don’t really need and movies you don’t really watch can help your OS perform better.
