It may not be an iPad, but the Nokia logo still counts for something. Nokia today unveiled their first and quite possibly last tablet ever in the form of the new Nokia Lumia 2520.
The Lumia 2520 is quite the looker and follows Nokia’s long standing tradition of polycarbonate chassis designs. The Lumia 2520 features a 10.2-inch 1080p display, a 2.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 6.7MP ZEISS camera, dual stereo front facing speakers, ceramic side keys, Windows RT 8.1 with Microsoft Office and Outlook pre-installed, Nokia’s HERE maps, a 8,000mAh battery, LTE and a wide range of epic colours. The Lumia 2520 will go on sale later this quarter for just $499, but it remains to be seen if it can make an impact in a market dominated by Apple’s iPad line.
Apple is expected to launch some new iPads later today, taking away the last bit of spotlight Nokia had left for the day. Do you think the Lumia 2520 is competitive enough to take on the iPad?
