HTC Touch Pro 2: For The Business Minded
August 18th, 2009 | by Simone.F |
I recently looked at the new HTC Touch Pro 2, I was pleasantly surprised by it’s modern design and attention to detail. It is definitely a phone for the business professional. Very straight forward navigation, maximum room for schedule listing on the home screen, and simplistic navigation between communication pathways (text to email to call). The phone is rather large but what it lacks in streamline design it makes up for in efficiency.
One of the most appealing features on this phone is the amount of detail put into the conference call option. I really liked the way they paid attention to each aspect of the conference call ie. the speaker phone has two mics as well as two speakers, a mute button place at the back of the phone, as well as simple ways to add people to the call directly from emails if necessary. Calls are also at the forefront as far as emphasis is concerned. The people at HTC wanted to make sure that placing and receiving calls would be more intuitive as well as natural based on the users needs. true to its business persona it runs on the Windows Mobile 6.1 Proffesional operating system. One of the other cool features is the slide out Qwerty keyboard which can be adjusted to different angles depending on the users needs.
Though it may not be the trend setting phone of the future it is definitely a well designed business tool. I personally feel that the people at HTC have created a very well rounded group of phones launching the more trendy HTC Hero then seamlessly transitioning into the Business minded Touch Pro 2. I think this phone would be a perfect addition to any professionals communication toolbox.
