HTC Hero Details – Part 1

July 10th, 2009 | by Jhananthi Janakiraman |
HTC Hero will be the first Android-based phone with a customized user interface. Hero comes packed with HTC Sense which promises an intuitive and seamless experience.
HTC Sense will put you at the focus of things making your phone work naturally helping you connect and organize tasks easily in your own terms.
The phone fits in your hand well and also against your face making it easy to handle. If iPhone has an oleophobic screen then Hero has an anti-fingerprint screen coating which is smudge resistant and gives a clear display.
The beautiful white soft Teflon coating make the surface of the phone durable and soft to touch. Now we have a smart looking phone vying for the top position. iPhone may have to make way.
The 3.2 inch HVGA display helps you browse and enjoy multimedia content but also keeping the phone small and smug in the hand. The device also features GPS, digital compass, gravity-sensor, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, a 5 mega-pixel autofocus camera and expandable MicroSD memory. Some surprising features are turning the phone to silence a ring, and viewing content like emails, photos etc. in different ways.
HTC Hero will be the first Android phone with support for Adobe Flash Platform technology. Go ahead and access Flash based content on the Web. As most videos online are delivered with Flash you can enjoy rich Web content on-the-go.
Interested in a demo of the experience you can get with a HTC Hero. Go to www.adobe.com/go/htchero and see the Flash Platform on the Hero and the Android OS.
Now, here’s the real bummer – as of now neither AT&T nor Tmobile are planning to bring this to the USA market.

The phone fits in your hand well and also against your face making it easy to handle. Forget iPhone’s oleophobic coating for its screen … the Hero has an anti-fingerprint screen coating which is smudge resistant and gives a clearer display. The beautiful white soft Teflon coating make the surface of the phone durable and soft to touch. Now we have a smart looking phone vying for the top position. iPhone may have to make way.

HTC Hero will be the first Android phone with support for Adobe Flash Platform technology, something which the 1st and 2nd Android phones from HTC – G1 and the myTouch 3G lack. Go ahead and access Flash based content on the Web. As most videos online are delivered with Flash you can enjoy rich Web content on-the-go.

Interested in a demo of the experience you can get with a HTC Hero? You will be simply amazed with this video. Now, here’s the real bummer – as of now neither AT&T nor Tmobile are planning to bring this to the USA market, but we can only pray and hope this changes soon. The Hero truly will be a game changing device and ready to tackle iPhone and BlackBerry.
