Windows Marketplace Gearing Up for Mega Launch

After the Apple App Store’s success and Nokia’s Ovi’s debut now we have news from Microsoft which will launch its Windows Marketplace for Mobile applications in 2009. The icing on the cake is that the storefront will open with 600 applications.
Windows Marketplace for Mobile apps will be online in a few months. Launched in collaboration with Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system the storefront will include premium and free applications. Both credit card and operator billing will be allowed. Users can even return apps when not satisfied that is within 24 hours.
Developers will get 70 percent of all revenues when the App Store launches in 29 countries. Developers can realize more revenue by setting their own price in each market which is very developer friendly. They may start submitting their apps to the Windows Marketplace for Mobile applications by this summer end.
