Visual Voicemail on Bold!

January 14th, 2009 | by Jessica.G |

Here’s the deal, the BlackBerry Bold will soon have visual voicemail option. According to some users, this option is available on the beta version of the Bold firmware 4.6.0.219 under Applications. So far some people have tried it and when they click on the icon it shows ” provisioning unsuccessful”.  AT&T might not have it in their system yet, and there’s no telling if they will be charging a fee to use visual voicemail. Here are some details about the Visual Voicemail features:

About BlackBerry Visual Voice Mail:
-Listen to a voice mail message
-Return a call
-Reply to a voice mail with an email, SMS text, or MMS message
-Forward a voice mail
-Save a voice mail
-Change your voice mail greeting
-Change your voice mail password
-Change how your device downloads voice mail

Legal notice:
BlackBerry® Visual Voice Mail allows you to view your voice mail on your BlackBerry device in a message list so that you can quickly see the details of a voice mail, such as the sender, the length of the message, and the date and time. You can pause or fast-forward a voice mail, or listen to your voice mail in any order.

When you receive a new voice mail, it appears automatically in your BlackBerry Visual Voice Mail message list and the main message list, but you can set how your device downloads the audio file. You can set your device to download the audio file automatically each time that you receive a voice mail, or only when you choose to listen to the voice mail. You can also prevent your device from automatically downloading the audio file when you are roaming

if you are looking to upgrade your firmware to this version to check this out, you can download here, but make sure you back up all your stuff first!
