And yet another great product by the Amzer Corporation.  The Rough and Tough Silicone Skin Case with removable belt clip is perfect for all you ”skin” lovers out there.  Constructed of advanced silicone, this skin will provide a layer of security while adding a layer of style to your phone.  The skin series is offered in black (which is featured here) and a clear version.  Retailing for $19.95 at fommy.com it’s a steal when we’re talking palm protection.

I couldn’t wait to dress up my Centro in this skin because if you’re like me, just a bit clumsy….well, okay a lot clumsy, then you’re always dropping things.   Things being my Palm Centro, it was high time to enter into some sort of protection plan.   Made of advanced silicone material, this skin offered me the kind of protection I was looking for.   Not really being into the fancy leather cases or the bulky holsters, this was right up my alley.  

Fairly easy to put on, I slid my phone through the screen cut out.  It fit my phone exceptionally well, which I liked.  Once on, its soft feel, reminded me that my palm was being protected.   And once in my hand, it offers a secure grip, something I really need.  So once again I felt comfortable to “talk” with my hands while holding my phone.

My palm’s so pretty I really hate covering it up (it’s black and it sparkles), but if I must and I must, then this is what I’ll use.  After about a week or so, I didn’t even notice that my precious palm was under a skin.  There are silicone waves on the back of the skin (for extra protection), something I wasn’t too sure about, but I must say they kind of grew on me.  I found myself tracing over the waves with my fingertips every so often, merely in admiration.  Skin on, my phone looked as pretty as ever.

Yeah sure, it looks and feels great but how does it stand up to functionality?  And the answer is…… it stands up quite nicely.   My phone remained fully usable while wearing the skin.  Precise cutouts for access to camera, keyboard, charging port, stylus, vibrate switch, even hand strap port made me love this skin even more.   A few buttons are covered by the silicone, namely the home keys, but it doesn’t hinder usability.   The buttons are still easy to press and they work!

Still not sold?  Well maybe this will change your mind…..It comes with a removable 360 degree swiveling belt clip!   Simple to screw on and off, you can attach to your belt or bag and you’re good to go.   Again, not being a fan of holsters, I was hesitant to attach the belt clip, but I did anyway.   I opted for my bag to carry my phone instead of my belt.  Okay, so I’m one of those girls who carries an oversized purse that weighs 8 pounds and it’s full of things I don’t use.    Before the detachable clip, when I’d hear my phone ring,  I’d hope that it was visible so I didn’t have to spend 45 seconds looking for  it.   Now with the clip attached, when I open up my giant purse there it is right where I left it along with a sigh of relief.
