Blackberry Storm OS .141 fails the Verizon Wireless testing – what’s next?

Indeed this is some hot news – the latest Blackberry Storm OS .141 has apparently failed the Verizon Wireless’ testing. As per the current schedule, the .141 update should have been released last month itself, but there are no signs of any update from Blackberry on this.Â
Critics believe that RIM and Verizon might decide to come out with a fresh 5.0 OS rather than fixing the existing glitches on the current OS. Till date, everyone was badly awaiting the 4.7.0.141 release, but apparently after failing the Verizon Wireless testing, there are no signs of development.Â
On the other hand, there have been widespread rumours about the launch of the sequel of the Storm, the Blackberry storm 2. But, again nothing solid is known in this regard, and only some pictures about the possibility of a Storm2 device have been leaked. However, RIM has confirmed that they’ll be indeed coming out with the Storm 2, but the timeline of the launch of Storm 2 was not to be heard of.Â
There’s total confusion about what’s really going on with all the Storm updates, and the existing users are frustrated with the current OS that has a good number of bugs, including the lock function not working, the phone hanging while it is tethered, or while you use Gtalk and other instant messaging services. There are several other bugs that still need to be fixed, and possibly RIM is planning on only releasing a seemingly flawless OS update this time. But, when would that really happen? Well, that unfortunately still remains unanswered officially.
