Review: iSteam App for iPhone

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

Check out this video of the iSteam App for the iPhone and the iPod Touch - it is so realistic. Makes you really think that there’s steam on your phone when you blow into the microphone. Then, when you start “cleaning” it up you’ll get real-life squeaky cleaning sounds and even condensation. What will they think of next?

This one is free right now and some are saying that it’s only till this weekend before the price goes up to .99cents. So hurry up and go download it. What are you waiting for?

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Everyone knows that 2008 has been the year to re-think finances and to keep a track of all the money coming in and going out from your pockets. So, the best way to do that is the new Mint.com application for the iPhone available for download in the Apple Apps Store.

Mint.com, in case you didn’t know, is an easy to use financial tool that lets you plug in all your bank and credit card information along with your monthly salary and other income and then you can start tracking! Mint.com shows your credit card balances and even monthly cash flow.

Their iPhone application version is convenient for on-the-go people. You can use all the features, just make sure your device is password protected so that in case you leave it somewhere, you don’t want others to see all your information!

Review: Price is Right app from Apple Apps Store

Friday, December 19th, 2008

I loved watching the Price is Right during my summer vacation while growing up. So, now I’m so happy to know that the Price is Right app is available for download on my iPhone and iPod Touch. For only $2.99 (it’s on sale right now) your dream of getting your name called and then hearing ‘COME ON DOWN’ can come true.

This super popular TV gameshow has converted well into an app in my opinion. You get to play 16 pricing games including Plinko, my personal favorite. There’s even a chance to Spin the Big Wheel and a chance to win big in the Showcase Showdown.

Ipod Nano or Ipod Touch for Christmas?

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

So it is rumored that the new Ipod Nano and the Ipod Touch will be the hottest mp3 gifts this year. Now the decision on which to go for, is totally up to the consumer and who they are getting it for. For instance, if anyone out therewere going to get me an ipod I’d prefer the smaller, more compact, ipod Nano. Simply because I’d mainly use the ipod for listening to music. Both players have their advantages and disadvantages to each other. Let’s see how they compare.

Sony gets ready to challenge iPod Touch with Touch Screen Walkman

Monday, December 15th, 2008

I love the iPod Touch and it’s perfect for anyone from age 10-100. You can do everything on this baby that you can on your iPhone 3G (minus the phone part, of course). So, it’s apt that someone out there, especially Sony, would try to create a device to take on this bad boy.

As per CES rumor mill, Sony is set to unveil a super thin gadget to rival Apple’s iPod Touch next month in Las Vegas. This device is being referred to as a Touch Screen Walkman and everyone’s waiting to see how it will look and operate. Plus, it will be interesting to see when it will be available on the market and at what price. Unveiling new gadgets during recession takes a lot of guts and Sony surely has that. We’ll keep an eye out for you on more details of this breaking news.

Reflect On This-Review

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Protecting your sometimes pricey gadgets is a tough job, while fully safeguarding your investment the case must echo the same elegance and style as the device itself.  With this in mind Griffin delivers the Reflect Case for the iPod Touch.   Griffin’s take on protecting the iPod Touch is “a beautifully mirrored finish that protects your iPod and reflects your own good taste.”

A combination of a mirrored-chrome reflective front cover and a matte black rubberized backing, to say the least, this is a very interesting case.  Before inserting your touch into the case, take the time to clean your device from any dirt, dust or oil with the included microfiber cleaning cloth.  Next, you want to carefully attach the included clear screen protector.  This thin layer will help protect your screen from scratches and those pesky fingerprints.  Now that that’s all done, take the back cover of the case and line that up with the back of your Touch.  Take the mirrored front cover and line that up with the back cover, the two covers come together and lock into place.  Now you have a durable polycarbonate shell protecting your device from the outside elements while displaying a seamless mirrored-chrome reflective finish.

While the Reflect Case greatly protects your device it also provides you with a fully operational iPod.  There’s no need to remove the case while charging, connecting headphones or turning the power on/off.  The Touch’s twists and turns are precisely covered by the case’s ideal design.  And needless to say a mirrored-chrome reflective case emulates the same exquisiteness and extravagance that the iPod Touch exhibits, sans the case.
