Leaked info from Verizon, shows that the new Blackberry Storm and HTC Diamond are to be released just in time for the holidays! With Blackberry Storm releasing in mid November and HTC Diamond releasing in mid- December, lots of Christmas wish lists will be including these top of the line, edge cutting phone devices.



T8290 Wimax HTC Touch

Introducing the WiMAX-enabled HTC Touch, the T8290. It’s looking like this thing is loaded with a huge 3.8? 480 x 800 WVGA display, WiMAX + GSM, 802.11g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and video calling capabilities. Yep that’s what I said video calling capabilities.

It would be nice to see this device launch in the US but that remains to be seen….

When will Android go International?

Americans have lucked out by being the first in the world to get the much-hyped Android phone, due to come out in a few short weeks. The G1 device, made by HTC, is going to be sold via carrier T-mobile.

However, the rest of the world, and namely Asian markets, are eager to get the device. Initially there was some buzz that an Android OS phone would hit Asia in 2008 as well but now it seems that next year is more likely.

With so many smart phones out there, it can get hard to choose which one best fits your liking and you may have already recently purchased an expensive phone. It’s true, each and every one has their little different perks that none of the others have. If you’re like me I want my “so last year” smartphone to stay up to date on the new features that some of these currently in style phones have.  I own a Samsung Instinct and already I’m eyeing the cool features of the new blackberry, touch diamond, and some others that have debuted. If only you could pick out what you like out of every smartphone and throw it in to your device! Where would that put smartphone sales? The grass is always greener on the other side, but is it really worth buying the other side?



Increased demand for smartphones in recessionary markets seems likely

Is there some strange connection between recessionary economies and an increase in demand for smartphones? Well, one could argue that there is indeed such a connection when taking the case of Japan. Japan has been in a recession for years, yet the demand for smart mobile devices has continued to increase, as Japanese have lusted for the next ’smart’ device.

T-mobile G1 Pre Order is Sold Out

In less then a week T-Mobile G1, the Google Android OS based device is sold out for pre-order.  The rumor mill is saying that close to 100K devices were pre ordered for existing customers. So those who did not pe-order, lets see if they get another chance later.

T-Mobile G1 from HTC armed with Google’s Android technology is here to stay. Mobile experts believe that it is high time companies got their acts ready and came out with Web sites which were effective for handheld viewing.

Chuck Sacco, CEO and co-founder of PhindMe.net commented that G1 was a major step towards offering full Web access to highly mobile people. He feels that G1 will be one step further than the BlackBerry and iPhone which itself sparked the shift from cell phones to smartphones.
