Apple Stores will open at 7 AM tomorrow, Friday, June 19, for the launch of the new iPhone 3G S. The phone announced just 2 short weeks ago, has once again dominated the wireless industry news pretty much every day since being unveiled at Apple’s WWDC conference.
In addition, since the launch, there has been much controversy over the pricing, leading AT&T to release this new information yesterday for all eligible and ineligible customers. They are seeking to give everyone the best pricing and the opportunity to get their hand on a faster and more power packed version of the iconic iPhone device.
What to expect tomorrow:
The crowds are already gathering, especially at Apple stores so it will be an event not to miss. Regarding availability, the new iPhone 3G S will be available at all company owned AT&T retail locations and all US Apple retail stores. Both Apple and AT&T are planning to open up all stores at 7 AM.
If you pre-ordered your phone on the internet, it should be shipped to you tomorrow in most cases. Some people did not order the device right away and if you are one of those guys, then you may not get yours tomorrow. Check your UPS tracking number. If you pre-ordered a device and are planning to pick up at the store, you should have gotten an email notification reminder regarding your device. Finally, only 1 device per customer allowed. No exceptions to this rule.  AT&T stores will allow one iPhone 3G S for each new customer and one iPhone 3G S per eligible line for current customers. Online purchase only one per household.
