RIM launches MyBlackBerry social community
July 22nd, 2009 | by Prachi Mehta |Looks like RIM has decided to try out a social networking concept, MyBlackBerry social community, though the site looks more like a bulletin board/discussion board or a forum, rather than an actual social networking platform.
However, this bulletin board/social community will offer personalized options to various users, depending upon the BlackBerry device that they’re using. It is quite possible that this move by RIM may be a pre-planned promotion of the BlackBerry App World, which will soon be opened to worldwide customers, especially those located in France, Italy, Germany, and other European countries.Â
What’s more, RIM is planning to launch some dedicated apps in the BlackBerry App World, which will allow Blackberry users to do a lot more. RIM also promised to launch new BlackBerry App World product categories, so as to help the users find precisely whatever they’re looking out for.
It is projected that MyBlackBerry may develop as a massive community where all kinds of BlackBerry users will share their views, comments, and interact with other fellow users (and abusers), and provide feedback about their devices and user experience.
