The Over The Air update is only 12.6MB and Apple says that it will only fix a single bug; “Fixes and Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network activity and reduced battery life.” There are no mentions of any security updates so jailbreaks should not have an issue, but Evasi0n has just released Evasi0n 1.4 for iOS 6.1.2 devices. No word on whether or not the security passcode bug has been fixed either and Apple has remained mum on the matter.

Some of the bugs that have been reported on iOS 6.1 for the Apple iPhone 4S include connectivity issues, failing to send and receive text messages as well as cutting calls occasionally. Vodafone sent out text messages and emails to customers urging them not to update until Apple had fixed the issues being faced.
This wouldn’t be the first time that Apple iPhone 4S users experience problems with their updates, with the update to iOS 6, many users reported WiFi connectivity problems as well as batteries that drained exceptionally fast.
According to Reuters, Apple Inc. is about to suffer a major setback in Latin America as the Brazilian Institute of Intellectual Property is set to rule on a case regarding it’s popular iPhone line of smart phones.
In 2000, seven years before Apple announced the iconic Apple iPhone, Gradiente Electronica SA, registered the ‘iPhone’ trademark in Brazil, but it was only twelve years later in December 2012 that they finally unveiled their Gradiente iphone NeoOne, an Android powered entry-level smart phone.
On February 13, the Brazilian Institute of Intellectual Property will make its ruling public, and apparently the odds are against Apple this time around. A ruling against Apple may force them to pay royalties to Gradiente for each Apple iPhone sold in Brazil, one of the fastest growing mobile markets in the world.
Apple will of course be able to appeal the ruling, but a positive outcome for the Cupertino based giant seems highly unlikely. Of course you can keep your Apple iPhone out of harms way with these iPhone 5 accessories.
T-Mobile customers rejoice as the wait is finally over! T-Mobile, America’s fourth-largest mobile service provider, reports a partnership with Apple. Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile’s parent company, has announced in their fourth quarter financial statement that T-Mobile USA “has entered into an agreement with Apple to bring products to market together in 2013.” Still no confirmation yet on which Apple products will be available through T-Mobile or exact launch dates but we are certain it will include the iPhone.
Google’s Chrome browser for Android moved out of beta only yesterday, and today Google has taken things to the next level – they have announced the availibility of Chrome for the Apple iPad and the iPhone. Chrome is a very popular choice already on PC, Mac and was spreading like wildfire even on Android – Yes, even while it was in beta!
It is pretty surprising to see Google bringing it’s products to Apple would be very interesting to see how Apple reacts to it, can we expect a Safari for Android? Time will tell!
