October 1st, 2009 | by Pallavi Dinesh |Well now that T-Mobile has confirmed its plans to carry the first Android smartphone developed by Motorola (Cliq), everyone’s turning their eyes towards Verizon Wireless. The nation’s best network is expected to announce their plans for a Motorola Android device and hopefully start carrying it in this quarter.
The Motorola Cliq was announced on September 10 in San Francisco and we got some great hands-on footage at the press event of the cool device so be sure to check it out.
If Verizon Wireless announces an Android device next week it will be the second carrier in the US to start carrying the new mobile OS platform. Till date, T-Mobile has been the only carrier to support the open source mobile platform developed by Google.
