Although several reports and rumors are circulating throughout the web, many of them point to March for the iPad 3 launch. Not surprisingly, the iPad 2 launched last year at around the same month so it appears Apple may have had plenty of time to squeeze in some new features after the holidays.

According to rumors, the iPad 3 may come equipped with a Retina Display similar to the iPhone 4/4S for higher resolution apps, but the design of it won’t change too much from the previous version. The reason the look of the tablet won’t be getting an upgrade is likely due to the thick size of the new higher-resolution display and upgraded components such as the camera and battery.

The iPad 3 will most likely come with Siri which was launched with the iPhone 4S last year and many are expecting Apple to unveil more new features for its popular tablet line. The news doesn’t stop there because another rumor is circulating that Apple is on the verge of releasing a smaller version of the iPad with a 7-inch screen to compete with similar sized models currently in the market. Many users actually prefer smaller tablets for portability and ease of use, so perhaps we could also see an iPad mini on the market in the near future.
