Google Announces Nexus 7 Tablet

Nexus 7Rumors have been floating since the longest time ever, but today finally Google announced their offering in the tablets market – the Google Nexus 7 Tablet – it is no iPad killer, infact not even close – I would rather call it a Kindle competitor.

It’s a low cost tablet priced at $199 for 8Gb and $249 for 16GB in the US – runs the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has a 7 Inch display with the nVdia Tegra 3 quad core processor with a 12 core GPU. Decent specs, but expandable storage is a bummer – also, it is too dependent on data connection for everything, especially all the integration with Play store!

It’s a decent start – but certainly it did not get me excited!  It ships this July only in US, UK and Canada for starters!
