Sprint to officially welcome HTC Hero on October 11
September 3rd, 2009 | by Pallavi Dinesh |
October 11 is going to be a good day. Sprint has finally fessed up that they have been planning an Android invasion after all. The second carrier in the USA market to carry an Android (Google’s mobile OS), Sprint seems to think that Android is the wave of the future, and a great way to counter the iPhone-effect. HTC has already made 2 devices, T-Mobile G1 and the myTouch 3G, for T-Mobile USA running this newest open-source platform.
The phone itself will be $179.99 with a 2 year contract after discounts. Although there are some great points to note about the latest Android smartphone to land in the US market, the best is probably its Sense UI. It works seamlessly to keep you connected and updated with your contacts and your friends and life taking social interaction and networking to a whole new level.
We did a full review of the Hero last month so check that out for more details!
