RIM’s annual shareholder meeting was today, RIM CEO Thorsten Heins revealed some more details about the company’s upcoming BlackBerry 10 (BB10) smartphones. RIM will launch a full-touch BB10 smartphone followed by one with QWERTY keypad. Interestingly, Heins said that BlackBerry OS7 devices will continue to be a part of their portfolio.
If Heins is to be believed BB10 will serve the high-end segment of the market while OS7 devices will continue to cater to the low-end and mid-tier segments. According to Heins, OS7 devices will continue to remain in focus till entire portfolio of BB10 devices is launched, when will that happen is not known yet!
