Palm Pre and BlackBerry Bold Comparison

Palm faithful are rejoicing in the good news recently in the form of Palm Pre. Many people will vouch for Palm using anything that is Palm from organizers, to the Treo and Tungsten. Palm Pre is predicted to be a fighter in the smartphone market.
Different entirely from the Palm OS, with the new OS you can expect more in messaging and internet browsing. Users will love the 3.1 inch touch screen with optimum resolution. For those who prefer a physical keyboard and not the slow “virtual” keyboard like that of an iPhone here is good news in the Palm Pre that comes with a full QWERTY.
Coming fully loaded with accelerometer, GPS, 3 MP camera, and cut and paste feature, the Pre is all that you wanted. Plus, the multitasking and notification bar in the Pre are welcome features in any smartphone.
But how does it compare with the BlackBerry Bold? Let’s take a look….
The Palm Pre is thicker than the RIM BlackBerry Bold. But nobody seems to mind that so far. Also, the BlackBerry Bold, as you all know, is not a touch screen device but is optimized with a smiley keyboard, messaging, emails, multitasking, and high-quality display. Basically, it gets its job done.
Bold has its limitations, though. The 1 GB on board memory for running applications requires you to keep an eye on the number of apps used simultaneously. Pre has a memory of 8GB which is much much more.
But here’s good news for BlackBerry users – multimedia contents can be stored on up to a 32 GB micro SD card to ensure that mail, browser, twitterberry, google talk and facebook will all work together.
So, at the end of the day when the Palm Pre and BlackBerry Bold are put up against each other, it will be hard to choice to make indeed.
