BlackBerry Storm 2 coming your way?

May 20th, 2009 | by Prachi Mehta |

It looks as though Blackberry is planning to make a big move, to make up for the inability to release the .141 OS for  the Storm touch screen device, but it is not another silly patch or OS fix, rather a brand new contender in the line-up of Blackberry. It is called the BlackBerry Storm 2, and early pictures of this device have been leaked over the internet, though nothing has been officially released from the company officials. However, the CEO has announced the launch of the Storm 2 within the next few months, though the timeline is far from definite.

At the moment, the dissatisfaction is growing more and more amongst the Storm users, who’re frustrated with the current OS version loaded with bugs in literally everything. Apart from the software, the current Blackberry Storm model also lacks the handy WiFi support as well. So, it seems that the Storm 2 will bring an end to all the problems with a fabulous 5 mega pixel camera, superb WiFi support, 1GB of handful memory, which would be expandable up to 16GB, well complemented by a nearly HD quality screen and auto-focus function in the cam.

The second and third generation Blackberry storms are reported to be operated in the design rooms at the moment, though Blackberry won’t let anyone flick out even a tiny snapshot of the master creations for sure.

But the million dollar question that remains unanswered is whether Storm 2 will be answer to all miseries of the current BlackBerry Storm OS, and if so, how soon it would hit the market!
