Windows Mobile 7 On the Horizon
May 28th, 2009 | by Prachi Mehta |Windows Mobile (WM) 7 mobile phone operating system should be launched after the 2nd quarter of next year. WM helps you to get connected to the entire world with best quality of voice and text messaging options. It is efficient in terms of smart dial, sharing photos and videos, text messaging and emailing.Â
Windows Mobile 7 is definitely going to give a fierce competition to Apple’s iPhone and mobile OS. However, there is not much information 7 yet since Microsoft has been playing their cards close to their chest. Microsoft team members are working on the hardware requirements which include support for zooming in on images, games, etc. Other features which are being looked at are GPS support system and a 3.2 mega pixel camera.Â
This delay is causing the competition to step it up with their developments as well and it might loosen the impact of this introduction. Google has already launched two phones supported by its Android operating system and both have been well-received. Similarly Apple iPhones have been updated to 3G and RIM is introducing new models as well. However, Microsoft officials are looking ahead for long term benefits from the smartphone market.Â
Information about improved browser for this new cell phone operating system is expected to hit the news very soon. Further news on rich web pages, Ajax applications, and flash content are expected by the end of this year.Â
Microsoft and their partners are working on the recent version of Windows mobile to add more features and give a new touch to the cell phone operating system.Â
This fierce competition is good news for the users because the prices will also be competitive. Â
