BlackBerry Storm 2 coming soon
July 3rd, 2009 | by Pallavi Dinesh |While the BlackBerry Storm 2 can’t come fast enough for some of you out there fed up with the original BlackBerry Storm device released last November on Verizon Wireless, you’re going to be happy to know that the new Storm is going to be most likely arriving in October.
We had previously reported that  the touch screen smartphone would be launched this month but now it seems that it is going to be later in the year. Could it be due to the fact that this summer is turning out to be very heated with major handsets launching almost simultaneously? I am not sure about that but I hope  the real reason the BlackBerry Storm 2 is not launching now and will be coming out later on in this year will be because RIM and Verizon are running the device through proper testing (something that the original Storm obviously didn’t get enough of) so that customers will be happy once they get it in their hands instead of regretting their decision on getting a touch screen BlackBerry.
Many Verizon Wireless customers feel shortchanged and have had a long list of complaints about BlackBerry’s first touchscreen smartphone pretty much since the time it launched last November. While, RIM and Verizon have worked hard in the last 7 months to send out software updates to try and take care of bugs in the system, problems still prevail.
By the way, there’s a good chance that the new Storm will look and feel similar to the current model but will be more powerful and better functionalities. Stay tuned for more details…
