Low-Priced Samsung Android Phones
August 15th, 2009 | by Jhananthi Janakiraman |First Motorola was making news with its announcements regarding Android phones and their prices. Now it is Samsung which seems to be eyeing the Android phones market.
Samsung’s Reclaim messaging phone made from recyclable materials have hit the stands and there is fresh news that by next year touchscreen Android phones with full Web browsers will be available for less than $100. At present O2 Germany is selling Samsung’s first Android phone, the i7500 for around $100 with contract.
There are contradictory reports on Samsung’s Android stand and maybe you will have to wait a few more months to get an official statement. Manufacturers are able to offer low priced Android phones maybe because the development platform is free and open source which attracts developers to exercise their expertise.
As for affecting the sales of BlackBerry or the iPhone, the Android phones have to pack some better features besides making it low-priced to attract buyers away from exisiting phones. Apple and RIM are sure to enhance their products further to brace themselves against any competition or may even make their prices attractive.
But the word from several iPhone users is that the device is simply THE BEST and the Blackberry is preferred as an office phone.
