Windows Phone Marketplace now has 100,000 apps

Only 6 months back we heard that Windows Phone Marketplace has reached 50,000 apps milestone – and now Microsoft at it’s Windows Phone 8 event, revealed that Windows Phone Marketplace now has 100,000 apps ready for download! Microsfot claims that this has been the fastest journey to 100,000 apps – even faster than Apple!

To add to the celebration Microsoft confirmed that Zynga’s Draw Something and Word with Friends apps are coming very soon to Windows Phone – interesting times ahead!

Google Increases Android Market App Size Limit to 4GB From 50MB

Remember downloading your favorite game and then being all excited only to see the message on start-up “This game requires additional xyz MB of download” ? Well, hopefully that will be gone soon. There was an upper limit of 50 MB on the apps uploaded on Android market, which is why you saw that message, but now Google has raised that limit to 4GB considering how high quality apps and games do tend to be heavier than a mere 50 MB. Nokia Social Apps coming to Android and iOS

Nokia has a popular app called “Pulse” an app which allows users to keep in touch taking advantage of the GPS connectivity in the devices. With Pulse you can check in to places and share that info with only a closed group of other users, basically something similar to FourSquare. Read more
