Are Mobile Devices Invading Our Privacy?

Companies are constantly trying to find ways to get your attention, and with smartphones now being thrown into the mix, we’re starting to see these devices being targeted now instead of your TV. When it comes to ads and relevancy, the only way to make sure potential customers see the ads they may be interested in is by breaking a few privacy rules. Were already on the verge of seeing ads which not only target you, but can also display your friends who liked the ad.   Whether companies like Google and Facebook want to admit it or not, the fact is privacy is continually being challenged and it’s only a matter of time before ads start popping up on your smartphone and just about everywhere else go. Are 3D smartphones nothing but a gimmick?

Admit it, you may have scoffed at the idea of 3D on a smartphone.  At the time, the concept seemed much more like a gimmick than an actual feature, but I think HTC, LG, and hopefully Apple may be onto something here.  After seeing the impressive display put on by the HTC EVO 3D at CTIA 2011, it became clear that 3D has been misjudged.  The crisp images flowing out of the screen of the EVO were astounding and the dorky glasses weren’t required.   Read more

What to expect at CES 2011

It becomes rather obvious that since the iPad launched earlier this year, 2011 is going to be the year other companies answer back to the tablet craze.  Like 3D TV was the major spotlight at CES 2010, the next show will certainty be the ultimate opportunity for companies to launch their newest product designs.  Tablets have just only recently caught on in the consumer marketplace and the influx of new products and accessories designed for tablets are going to be a major part of the convention.  Companies like Amzer—which is releasing their innovative Foldo tablet stand—hope to introduce their never-before-seen products to the thousands of press searching for the latest and greatest accessories.
