Motorola Xoom pricing is official, $799 on Verizon and $600 Wi-Fi only model

You can rest a bit easier now that the pricing rumors have been laid to rest.  According to Rueters, the Motorola Xoom will be available for pre-orders soon at a price of $799 on Verizon or $600 for the Wi-Fi only model.  The price is much less than the rumored $1,199 that appeared on Best Buy’s Xoom pre-order page, which has since been removed.  The news comes via Motorola’s chief executive, Sanjay Jha, who made the announcement at Mobile World Congress 2011, which is currently taking place in Barcelona, Spain.  “I am as focused on Android as I ever have been,” Jha told reporters. “ Read more

Apple iPhone 5 rumors galore, may have keyboard and 4-inch screen

An Apple a day keeps the doctor away, but who keeps Apple away from the doctors?  It seems like everyone is trying to find out the latest scoop on the next iPhone 5.  Apple is known for keeping any information about their products secret before they announce them, but not much can be said about the workers actually building the next model.  A Taiwanese website called Apple.pro now claims that Apple has built three hardware prototypes for its next-generation iPhone, including one model with a slide-out physical keyboard.  The image pictured above is actually of an accessory from Boxwave called the Keyboard Buddy attached to an iPhone 4.
