10 inch BlackBerry PlayBook Images Leaked

Troubled BlackBerry makes RIM is still in news, this time because omages of 10-inch BlackBerry PlayBook has surfaced on a Vietnamese website. The BlackBerry roadmap that leaked also mentioned a 10-inch BlackBerry PlayBook scheduled for Q3 2013. It is supposed to take on the iPad, if it ever makes it to the market.

Supposedly the 10-inch PlayBook will come with a SIM card slot at the back that would support 3G/HSPA+ and 4G networks. This, might just be a prototype and the model may have been cancelled, only time will tell.

RIM: BB10 coming to the PlayBook

Rejoice thou BlackBerry PlayBook owners ! RIM has given you all a reason to smile, RIM confirmed that PlayBook will get an update to BlackBerry 10, which currently runs OS 2.0. Rob Orr, Vice President of Product Management at Research in Motion recently said “We’ve said publicly a number of times that our first BB10 handset will be available towards the end of 2012, and that’s still firmly the case. At some point after the launch we’ll bring BB10 to our PlayBook, yes”.

The OS10 is expected to change the way BlackBerry devices are used, and bring about the much needed leap and refresh, we hope it does live upto the hype. But, certainly nice of RIM to think of the thousands of PlayBook owners and kept them as a priority even in their future plans.
